Brad is right. I used to have depressing straight cut hair. I decided to do the butterfly cut (learned it from him) and I felt the most beautiful person ever.

I have thick, dense, curly hair, and my old hairdresser used to put giant shelving units on my head while cutting layers. It’s actually horrible to see pictures from back then. In 2019 I got my last salon haircut, and I’ve been cutting my own hair in layers for 4 years. I get compliments all the time

I finally got sick of looking at my horribly uneven hair & took a leap & used the butterfly cut tutorial. I lost about ⅓ of my hair when I got Covid from the high fever which is to be expected when you're severely immune compromised like me & it was way worse on one side than the other. I also have a terrible habit of twisting my hair around my finger & pulling my hair when I'm experiencing a pain flair. Idk if I'm trying to redirect pain or if it's just a pain response but I'm working on it. Anyway the combination of all these things left me with some wrecked hair so I decided to do a big chop. I ended up putting the back up twice to take more length off & the end result was SOOO cute. The layers on top make my hair look so much thicker & my hair has so much more body, movement & bounce, it also feels so much healthier & thicker.
